I'm used to fast forwarding thru the musical guest, but I'm a sucker for girl bands and harmonies, so I really liked Boygenius. The fact they looked like they were having the time of their lives didn't hurt.

Wasting Sarah Sherman's big spot tonight in a Bowen Yang skit. Sigh.

I actually like Tate McRae’s music. Sue me. I think she’s a better “get” than tonight’s musical guest, at least.

The monologue was fun, but this episode has just been an episode to me. For someone who's so apparently acclaimed as an actor, all of Chalamet's characters have been pretty similar variations of one another.

Probably my least favorite of the season so far. They'd probably go chronologically for me in terms of fondness: Davidson, Bunny, Bargatze, Chalamet.

    Cautiously optimistic for Jason Momoa.

The open, monologue, Britany and WU were good, the rest has sucked. Even Please Don’t Destroy was one of their weaker ones.

And now they're apparently a satanic Veruca Salt! I will definitely buy their CD this week. #Ancient

Will give Chloe Troast some credit in the girls home sketch. She can carry a tune. Not as good as Cicely Strong could, but pretty darn good.

And then they pull out a 12:59 Alec Baldwin cameo?!?

That was super strange? Especially since I'd tuned out of the skit and had to rewind to make sure it was Baldwin. But I'm glad to see him back. He's a prick but a.) he's a local guy so he's OUR prick and b.) he annoys MAGAts so he can't be all that bad and c.) he seems to have just been in the wrong place at the wrong time thanks to the fuckups of others in that awful gunshot on the movie set tragedy. He's great on SNL so it'd be good to see him on there again.

The moon sketch and hip hop panel were very funny

It was OK. I thought boygenius was the highlight. I love Phoebe Bridgers.

I couldn’t understand a word of the band. The music overwhelmed the vocals.

I thought WU was pretty weak, and that’s often the only part of SNL that I watch.
