Easily forgettable episode. I might recognize Ms. Sweeney's ... uh, Ms. Sweeney if I see her again.

Somebody should explain to the writer that the only Not Ready for Prime Time Players were the original cast. I don't even think Murray cracked that club.

Honestly, she's like a cross between Jessica Biel, Denise Richards and maybe Leann Rimes? I just didn't see anything "behind" the looks Ex. Cameron Diaz is/was stunning when she was breaking through, but also held her own against Jim Carrey in The Mask and Ben Stiller in Something About Mary - Sweeney has a great bod, but I just don't see a lot else.

Now Kacey Musgraves? Hmmmm. Obviously pretty. Clearly talented and more than that, she is interesting.

Heidi Gardner continues to kill it in everything - ably replacing Cecily Strong. The sketches mostly played to Sweeney's looks = which was a missed opportunity for her. And as soon as I heard about the pregnant ray, I figured it would get some SNL mention involving Che. But dang was that funny. "He broke my back! and I don't have any vertebrae. Couldn't walk for a week!"

The cold open had echos of this Studio 60 Bush opening bit - but it does ring true. Amazing how well "my" quote has held up. So sad that it has as well.

Should be a solid episode tonight with Brolin (and Ariana Grande) ... but I have the feeling that no matter what they do with Katie Britt, some people are going to say it isn't enough.

The political stuff has been pretty flat or a downright bad this season. If they go there, hopefully it's good. I'm not sure how the reality can be made any more cringy/funny though.

I remember during a Tina Fey/Palin sketch (from a Katie Couric interview maybe?) they didn't actually write anything, but used Palin's words pretty much verbatim. And it was hysterical since she was such a blithering idiot.

That wouldn't really work in this case, though, as with Britt it was the ridiculous delivery.

This was great. Marcello is going to have a bright future, wherever it is.

Mikey Day just doesn't have it with his Biden impression, but kudos to Mrs. Jost with the response.

Did the writers go back on strike? Everything after the open has sucked.
