Heidi Gardner as a manic Reba needs to be recurring. Good god, not sure why that was so funny to me.

As someone who watched Full House every week as a kid (and now listens to the rewatch podcast), that Little Richard sketch was definitely directed towards them.

Fun fact I learned from the pod: when they were filming a scene of Little Richard jamming at Uncle Jesse's piano, Richard got so into it, he accidentally bitch-slapped Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie) as she stood by the piano.

Loved the Broadway sketch. Though the sound mix, or my hearing, made some of the song transitions muddled.

Weekend Update killed from start to finish. And Gardner’s Reba bit was outstanding. She’s really been great the last couple of years. And breaking out this year. (Good on “Shrinking” too).

Pretty solid episode from start to finish, and amazingly, Harvey Epstein is really a thing.

Also, I'm praying the SNL boost bodes well for Kamala, because I discovered that John McCain did the exact same in the pre-election SNL in 2008. Obama's cameo in the Clinton Halloween sketch was a year earlier, as was Trump hosting in 2015.

Yeah well social media told me it was the worst of all-time and since Trump did that bit first, Kamala Copycat sucks and shouldn't be president

You should invest in different social media.

It’s one of the most fabulously dumb right wing/social media taking points in a while.

SNL does the mirror bit A LOT. They did it with Ariana Grande a couple of weeks ago. They’ve done it with Mick Jagger.

Of course, they morons get lying fuel from places like the Shitty New York Post. Which had the dumb, fake story leading its shitty website today.

Edit to add: sorry, wasn’t paying attention and this isn’t the politics thread.

Beppo was great. Heidi Gardner too as always.

Given that SNL usually has at least one paid for sketch the incorporates a brand name in it a week, I was wondering if the Harris campaign paid for that spot.

Just had the cold open going again in the background while I was doing some layout.

Just listening to the audio of the back and forth, I tried to figure out the differences between Maya and Kamala and I couldn't. It's stunning.

When Dana is doing Biden, it's great, but you can still hear that classic Dana voice. With Maya/Kamala it was practically pitch perfect.

Tim Kaine was funny. I'm sure half the audience thought it was Walz.

And I guess that rumor that Davidson and Jost hated each other for some reason is BS. Loved Mulaney referring to him as Pete in the Duane Reade sketch and Davidson not missing a beat and calling him John.
Mullaney's monologue wasn't great. It's like when Seinfeld had a kid and just did jokes about being a dad. Hasn't been funny since.
