I want to see how they manage to slowly paint Gotye's body and face over the course of his performance next week.

If see you typing "Gotye" but I read it as "Goatse" and keep thinking that painting the face and body would be the least of SNL's problems.

I think that's just how she talks. I mean, she's a former model, and in her past roles (Knights of Prosperity, a fun show with Daniel Logue that ran for 12 episodes a couple years ago on ABC) she also had that accent as well. In the Drescher skit, it felt like she was trying really hard to tone it down, but it still squeaked out a bit. I guess she's no Hugh Laurie.

It's actually not. She's gone on record saying that she was asked by her agents to deliberately exaggerate her accent and dye her hair (she's a natural blonde) because she didn't come across as "Latina enough" and they were having trouble getting her parts.

Wow. Then they over-corrected a tad.

Holy crap. Just saw that dude the other day, reading about the kid who killed his ex-girlfriend's new guy and his mom. Must have played that video a dozen times since. Really kinda dig it.

Finally watched last week's, and it was fair to middlin'. The Just Friends skit was hilarious, and all I could think during it was that both those guys will be gone soon. I'll really miss Sudeikis. And I didn't think One Direction was bad at all. I'm not their target audience, but I was expecting much worse after the comments here.

I also was thinking about how I used to have an irrational hatred for Bobby Moynihan and really didn't like Kenan Thompson either. Not sure if it took them a while to find their groove or if I just had to warm up to them. Moynihan had some truly annoying characters when he started, but I love Drunk Uncle.

Also, heard Amie by the Pure Prairie League on XM the other night, and it reminded me of these great skits from a few years ago. Love Will Forte in them. And again, I'll really miss Sudeikis.

They also did an even better one with Rick Nelson's Garden Party and Paul Rudd. Can't find that link, but still searching.

  11. Excited to see what they write up for Brolin tonight.

I'm excited to see if the girl shows up along with Gotye.
