You may not like his characters (I enjoyed Da Ali G Show, which is coincidentally the one he hasn't made into a movie yet) but he's a damn good actor when working from other people's scripts.

All I've seen him in that was someone else's script was Talladega Nights. And I wanted to stab him in the face for every second he was on the screen.

First half was better than the second half. Eil did better than I expected considering his image as someone with bad body language.

Did you expect him to throw up or die on stage?

Because, otherwise, I'm struggling to imagine how he exceeded any expectations.

First SNL I've watched in nearly a year. Haven't missed a thing. Bailed after the game show bit.

that was one of the worst Weekend Update segments in a long time

and do we really need to see the elderly reporter skit again?

    That character is awful.

I liked the Little Brothers sketch and the courtroom sketch.

The problem, as usual, with a lot of the sketches is that they don't seem to know how to end them. They have some funny jokes within the sketches, but they seem to go on too long and then whimper to an end.

The first two skits were hilarious, especially the trial/text stuff. Then I fell asleep. Sounds like I caught the best skits.

No kidding... He made Peyton look like Alec Baldwin.

If they didn't have an applause sign, most of the skits would never end.

Supposedly Rodgers, Brees and Eli were all up for the hosting gig and SNL went with Eli, which makes some level of sense since he's from NYC and won the Super Bowl.

But Holy Shit was he terrible...
