True, but she was the worst cast member from that dream team and was still pretty damn good... I think she was more memorable than Wiig ever was.

I don't remember anything Wiig did that made me laugh as much as Jackson singing "I am not a bimbo" on Update.

Jackson was a one-trick pony and can't act her way out of a hat.

    I always liked Victoria Jackson.

As did I... I want to know if anyone in the current cast will do anything that we'll still be talking about in 20 years...

The late 80s cast was nails. You had Hartman doing Reagan, Sinatra and McLauglin plus many dads; Carvey doing Wayne's World, Hanz and Franz and Church Lady, Meyers doing WW and Sprockets, Nealon's "subliminal man" and H&F, Hooks and Dunn's singing sisters, Miller doing Update. Schneider and Spade even appeared in a few episodes. Throw in Farley, Rock and Sandler in 1990-91 - probably the strongest era of recurring "characters" the show ever had.

God, the NYT writing about "Dick in a Box" was even better than I could have imagined.

The current cast prior to the recent defections? I would say Wiig, and by that, I mean she will do something in the movies after this that will be better than anything she ever did on SNL. Hell, she's already done something better in the movies.

    Outside of that ... nahhhh.

In 20 years from now, you'll probably be somewhere in the range of 45 to 65, so probably not. I think that's an overlooked portion of this - when you're a teenager, regardless of what flavor of SNL had at the time, you probably tend to skew more toward that era than any other one.

Yeah, but when I was a teenager, Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman and Dennis Miller were part of the greatest cast in show history... :D
