I finally watched the previous week's episode and thought is was pretty darn good. Anne Hathaway was brilliant. But another musical intro? Come on! I thought the American Gothic skit was inspired, and Hathaway and Sudeikis were excellent.

The McDonald's sketch was brilliant as well, and Moynihan as Drunk Uncle is hilarious.

Did I hear wrong or did Jamie Foxx actually say "What the fuck?" on Weekend Update as he played the Ding Dong?

  4. I played it back on my DVR after hearing it live. Both times I thought it was "What the fudge?"

    Sweet, beautiful Dermot Mulroney.

I found last night's episode to be unwatchable. Even Update was a bit off.

Agree for the most part, Gator, but the Dermot Mulroney/Dylan McDermott thing (with the cameo) was awesome.

I also got a kick out of Charlie Day's cameo. One-joke skit, but it had its moments.

I thought the best skit of the night was the one at the end, with the crystals. The rest of the show was just OK. I thought they'd get more out of Jamie Foxx, but outside of the opening monologue with the piano, I thought he was mostly ho-hum.

Surprised they didn't drop a Ho-Hos reference in the Ding Dong thing. Jamie Foxx can still sell a weak skit and make it watchable. It's something that In Living Color will always do better than SNL.
    Derbal McDillet....How black is THAT?

I checked again to be sure.

    "What the fudge?"

Swarovski Crystals: a classic. One great one-liner after another

"I lost part of my foot. It broke off in a butt."

"I used to do porn, too, until they started making me wear a condom. I said no way. I've got integrity."

"There's one thing that never goes out of style." "Anal!"
