I read a profile of her in Esquire before Hunger Games came out, she said her goal was always to do comedy. Called Lucille Ball her favorite actress.

But I'm with Della, six weeks and that? I know the show has to be timely with some sketches, but WTF with Top Dog Chef or what it was called.

I'm with you. I thought it was weak.

What was frustrating about the episode is that it was clear the Lawrence was game for just about anything. Her monologue was the best part.
The set-ups weren't bad (I would have gone for a dog dating show instead of a cooking show), but they should have tried for home runs instead of taking the easy way out in most cases.

The cold open was terrible. Trying to play Te'o off as a dumb jock when in interviews he has been fairly articulate is just lazy and shows that the writers are pretty clueless when it comes to sports.
I did like the Hunger Games post game presser skit, but that was the only thing in the show even close to worthwhile.

I think I've decided I just don't like Jennifer Lawrence. She was the worst part of SLP for me (and yes, I realize I'm alone in that) and I found her painfully unfunny last night.

Yeah, she can do no wrong in my eyes... She was mesmerizing in Winter's Bone. That was one of those very rare performances where I couldn't take my eyes off the screen because of the performance...

Last night was a meh. I liked the monologue and the Hunger Games presser.

No one else liked her as the insulting waitress?

One of the worst skits of the night, IMO.

Agree. There's a lot they could have done with the idea but it was just done so poorly.

That was my favorite skit. There wasn't much else that impressed me except for The Lumineers.

Yes. I haven't been much of a fan of folk rock, but The Lumineers were better than I expected.

I didn't much care for Sons of Dexys Midnight Runners.
