His Piers Morgan was horrific, just his Michael Cera with a British lilt. Reminded me of Ferrell's equally bad Alex Trebek.

I think that is why I like it. I also enjoyed Ferrell as Trebek.

    A few musings:
    1) Adam Levine didn't stop reading off cue cards.
    2) The Train vs. Maroon 5 skit was had a few chuckles, as did the Catfish skit.
    3) No murder references in the Ray Lewis sketch? I mean, not one?
    4) What is it with guys being gay/dressing up as women? It seems like low hanging fruit and it's not very funny.

Overall, not a very good episode. Did NBC owe this one to Levine for coming back to The Voice?

    Terrible again.

It was worth it for the Digital Short alone.

Why they don't give Lonely Island whatever they want to do one every episode is beyond me.

I'm sure Levine being on a popular NBC show didn't hurt his chances of getting to host... Then again, it's not like they're raiding the A-list on a regular basis these days...

It was better than I thought it would be. I liked the Catfish sketch. I thought the monologue was funny. I liked the digital short. Thompson as Lewis was funny. Train vs. Maroon 5 was funny, in a "this is so stupid" kind of way, but these days it will probably become a recurring bit.

I know popping in celeb cameos isn't for everyone, but I thought it was great when Diaz and Seinfeld popped up in the opening monologue.

Just started watching when I got home. And, without seeing Bieber at all (for good or bad), I thought they absolutely nailed the cold opening.

When did Bieber start ripping off Vanilla Ice?

Cold open was OK, monologue was OK, after that it was terrible.
even update was bad. do they have to bring back the childhood friends of the dictator bit?

I am now convinced that Bieber is the biggest studio creation who actually sang in history. I mean, his voice is painful live. Hearing the first song, I honestly thought he wouldn't even make it to the judges on American Idol.
