None at all. Unless Iran is going to stop funding terrorists around the world, which they've been doing for a hell of lot longer than we've been in Iraq.

 

But less Americans would be dying. That's just a fact.

 

Less Americans would've died if we never went into Afghanistan and did a partial cleansing of the Taliban.

That makes no sense. The argument is that we never should have gone into Iraq, so every American that dies there (or as a result of suspected Iranian involvement) is a death that could have and should have been avoided.

Going into Afghanistan was justified. Even though we've screwed up our mission there because of (you guessed it) Iraq.
