So, yeah, um ... Nashville is under water.

Nashville is learning what fails to be learned over time. You don't build from the river outward.

I present case example No. 1 on why the L gang can't reason. They're in charge and they're in denial.

Hey I've been out of town and every time I watched cable news, they were in the gulf, investigating the latest terror threat by young men not necessarily of Middle East descent, 24-36 years old, in NYC; the chaos in Greece or the pundits trying to figure out which liberal extremist Obama is going to put on the Supreme Court. I barely saw clips of the standing water much less what Obama had decided to do about it.

Save yourself some keystrokes, champ. Just type, "I was wrong" next time.

So what cable news have you watched? Crawl out from your rock and you'll see how they've been criticized for the LACK of coverage on the flooding.

of course this probably didn't set well with the One Big Ass admin, which seeks to get his every word and move out there on the forefront of public consciousness.

A real leader would have declared a state of emergency before the flooding.

But seriously, major flooding reached Nashville on May 3. This declaration was signed May 4.

Personally I don't know why a prez would visit a disaster area. Bush "flew over" New Orleans and got ripped for indifference. Obama did the same thing with the gulf oil disaster, not wanting to land on one of the ships handling it to talk with those working on solving it. It's obvious that the security detail and all that other shit that goes with a prez visit costs money and resources that are better utilized on the disaster at hand. Is a hug from the president on selected victims going to make their lives better?
