Anderson Cooper admitted on CNN the flooding has not received enough national attention. "We've reported on the situation a little, but not as much as we should have, and we hope to begin to correct that tonight and tomorrow from Nashville. We'll go there tomorrow."

The thing about some journalists is that they not only are skeptical of God but ridicule it. Which is why some journalists are so respected by the mainstream of America, the 90 percent or so who admit belief in a God.

I don't respect stupid end-times rhetoric whether it be religious or not. Sorry, but its just stupid.

Worry about the times you live in, not the end times.

And it's even harder to respect end-times rhetoric when it's based on a flawed premise to begin with. These events aren't happening more often than they did 10 or 20 years ago and, as someone has pointed out, these events are happening much less than they did 100 and 200 years ago.

    pd,

To look at it another way, the most influential Christian in history next to Jesus -- St. Paul -- was violently anti-Christian.

So there is hope for journalists, too.

That woman looks like a dude.

Not being sarcastic here, but the city is still flooded? It hasn't rained in a while, you'd think the bulk of it would have drained away. Houston got socked in Tropical Storm Allison, with pictures that look a lot like Nashville, but the stuff drained away in a day or two. Maybe it's the hills in Nashville, or maybe their drainage systems aren't built for this type of event.

Didn't Nashville make a pact with the devil?

Hmmm. The flood does coincide with a country music singer declaring she's gay.

Yea, I know some people that used to work at Opryland. Saw a couple pictures where the water level was to the top of doorway in the hallway to some of the guest rooms.

Also saw a picture of the Delta Island riverboats. They were still floating, but they were touching the roof of the dock structure where people get on.

Well that's a relief. It's not an official disaster until Anderson arrives.
