OTR, could it possibly be that the statements were dictated? Wouldn't mind Pat going into further detail about those documents.

 

Man, I like Pat. But unless he majored in handwriting analysis he might want to avoid such comments.

And writing that the statements "appeared" to be in the same handwriting doesn't cut it in such a case.

 

Any predictions on the score in a couple weeks when Ball State, with only 9 players left and none taller than 6'5", plays mighty Georgetown with 7'2" NBA lottery pick Hibbert in the middle? After this mess, anyone think Thompson will show some mercy and avoid running up the score in that one? Neither do I.

As I've said before, a pox on both houses ... Ball State and Thompson.

I do wish Forde had addressed some of Thompson's ridiculous post-resignation hyperbole, like Ball State having no basketballs to practice with.

 

My guess is that Forde had some help from his brethren at ESPN for that line, if not damn near the whole column. He's too good to think he would get away with it.

Second that. I fear what Georgetown will do to Ball State in Muncie.
