If you were watching any or most of the U.S. Open, then you have to have this song in your head -- I know I do!

    MARIA
    I feel pretty,
    Oh, so pretty,
I feel pretty and witty and bright!
    And I pity
Any girl who isn't me tonight.

    I feel charming,
    Oh, so charming
It's alarming how charming I feel!
    And so pretty
That I hardly can believe I'm real.

See the pretty girl in that mirror there:
Who can that attractive girl be?
    Such a pretty face,
    Such a pretty dress,
    Such a pretty smile,
    Such a pretty me!

    ...

Ah yes, Patches! How about "Little Green Apples" by O.C. Smith?

The ones I can't get out of my head right is "Twilight World" by Swing Out Sister (in fact, the the whole damn CD of their best), "I'll Make it Better," by Peabo Bryson, and "Never Givin' Up," by Al Jarreau.

Oh, two more CDs: all college fight song CDs and "The Power and the Glory" NFL CD. The Voice of God beckons us to football once again, my friends!!!

ELO was in jumped the shark territory by then, the territory Supertramp hit with Breakfast in America.

And outing alert: Judging by her sidesaddle, sxysptswrtr is a 10-year-old girl.

The song in my head recently has been Streetcar by Funeral for a Friend, although after reading the Carly Simon thread, I can't seem to shake You're So Vain.

  5. "Fat Man in the Bathtub" by Little Feat.

The one song I constantly sing to myself, especially after hearing it on the radio or my mp3 player is "Another Brick in the Wall Part II".

Found the CD a week ago and forgot how much I love MJ when he was just a Motown star.

"10 Seconds to Love" by Motley Crue and "Stranger in a Strange Land" by Iron Maiden. I've been in a metal mood lately. Which is funny, because in high school, I liked those bands so I could fit in, then I fell for U2 and R.E.M. and quit worrying about fitting in.

"If Elton John sang R&B, would his new name be P. Doody?"
