I'm in withdrawals already. I have to remind myself again that after 86 times, I will never hear that theme song again and not know what is going to happen for the next hour.

I told my wife that when you folks explain it to me, I'll explain it to her.

 

I think the ending was essentially a David Chase masturbation scene. "Watch how great a filmmaker I am. I can create drama and a sense of impending dread for no good reason then pull the rug out. Look at meeeeee! Look at how great I am!"

 

If anyone ever finds a screencap of the wide shot with Paulie & the cat in front of Satriale's, please post here. I loved that shot.

 

Either he's a big time pro or Chase sent him a copy a few hours early (because he's a big time pro).

 

That's ridiculous.

If that's the case, the entire series has been that way.

 

Was I the only one pacing around their room while watching the diner scene? I just couldn't stand the tension.

 

I absolutely loved that. Classic Paulie moments.

 

I hopped back and forth between my couch and recliner about a dozen times.

I knew there was a reason I wanted to watch this thing alone.

 

No. I actually moved to the edge of my seat for the last three minutes. Too tough to bear. I'm just now coming to grips with the show being over forever.
