Anybody dropping HBO in anger over the finale are awfully damn petty and not too bright. But then again, I suspect 90 percent of the cancellations would have happened today no matter what happened last night.

Exactly my point from three pages ago.

Phil getting whacked really took much of the possible juice out of that final scene.

Tony, actually, was as safe as he has ever been. And he knew it.

    I will say this.

The woman through the door looked like a thin version of Janice...

The guy with the hat looked like a heavily made-up David Scatino (Robert Patrick)....

And the guy headed to the john could have been Gene Pontecorvo's brother.....

    I confess.

I also would have been a little disappointed had Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal set up a chessboard at center court instead of doing what they normally do.

Would have been interesting. Would have made me think.

But I still wouldn't have liked it. So sue me.

First, bruhman is simply baiting someone on that.

The two guys Chrissy had shot under the bridge with the conspirators in the hit on New York that never transpired.

As good an explanation as any.

I agree with your sarcasm regarding our short-attention-span-theater entertainment existence.

But what piece of art are you possibly referencing here?

Cause it ain't what was on last night.

I was disappointed... But I didn't hate it...

If Chase wants to let the bidding start for a movie, it's hard to blame him... I guarantee you everything he does from now on will seem like shit compared to this...

    So, how did it end?

Honestly... YOU are one of the people who I imagine is more capable of jerking off to this than anyone.

If someone calls it on not being perfect, you get into baseball-writer-styled apologism mode and splooge like you did at the top of the page here.

    In that case . . .

"Rocky" should have cut to black before the announcement of the split decision.

Did he win? Did he lose? Let the viewer decide?

"The Terminator" should have cut to black just before Sarah Connor hit the button that squashed what was left of the cyborg.

Did it kill her? Did she escape? Will she --- like Tony --- be living in fear for the rest of her life? You know those Terminators. They "don't stop" . . .

There is thinking . . . and there is overthinking.

Actually, Simon, I didn't have a problem with anyone's interpretations, and I didn't think it was perfect. I just really enjoyed it the more I thought about it and watched it a few more times. I have said 1,000 times that The Wire is the better show, so I'm not some masturbating David Chase apologist. What I don't appreciate is the idea that, if you didn't get it, it means I didn't get it too, and I'm just calling it brilliant so that I can feel smart. And that's exactly what BTS's post was trying to say.
