I think lots and lots of people will be crushed by tonight's episode.
Just a feeling, but it will surpass the Seinfeld finale in terms of disappointment.
I might be wrong, but I'm prepared for that.

The Kevin Finnerty family goes out for ice cream, then comes home to watch the Tony Awards for the 15th consecutive year.

I'm still not convinced we won't get a dream finale.

    Incident at Owl Creek Bridge?

(Tony was actually killed by Uncle Junior.)

As we are getting closer to the finale, I am kind of depressed that the show is ending. Like a poster said earlier on the thread, things just aren't going to be the same. Think about all the time in the last seven years that we have spent talkng about this show. For Christ sakes I was in 8th grade when it came out, so with the finale it kind of feels like a finale of a lot of things in a sense, I don't even know if that makes sense, but it does to me.

I'm just anxious and a little sad to see it all come to an end, and thats why I think most people won't be happy with the finale, because, in essence, they don't want the show to end.

And it is BY FAR the best show in television, in my opinion.

Since Chase has said that he has known since the beginning how the series will end, I predict it ends with Tony dying. I don't have any real idea who the killer would be, but I have a gut feeling that Tony is a goner.

Tony won't die for the same reason the Russian from the Pine Barrens never came back; it's too easy and cheap, imo.

There won't be any "good beats evil" in the finale because their world is essentially an existential void.

My new prediction...Everyone dies but Tony, who leaves NJ behind and goes off to discover himself. The last scene and last line of the series will be Tony sitting in a diner by his lonesome, placing his order and saying something like "Give me the macaroni and gravy." The gruff voice from behind the counter will say something along the lines of "We don't serve that, but let me suggest the Johnny Cakes."

I like DD's line of thinking here.
