Sopranos 6/3 - Second to final episode

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by Write-brained, Jun 3, 2007.

  1. If Phil goes down and Little Carmine takes over, there's a chance things could go back to the way they were with NJ and NY cooperating.

If Tony were to die, I think it's incorrect to interpret it as Phil "winning" as some people have said. This show isn't about Tony vs. Phil. It's about Tony vs. everything. If it's not Phil, it's going to be someone else ... a new NY boss, the FBI, another cousin coming out of the clink, himself ... that's why it's a very real possibility that Tony will be offed. In the real world, it's hard to think that the NJ crew would get the best of the much larger NY family.

The last option, turning state's evidence, is the most intriguing. The show would end with us realizing that someone like Tony Soprano could be quietly living among us ... though it didn't quite work for Sammy the Bull.

In hindsight that's the one thing that puzzled me about that scene outside the Bing. If you hear screeching brakes and gunfire... do you head outside to see what's going on or do you stay inside where its safe?

The guy with the cellphone in the safe house wanted to know if he should order "our eats." I am not sure it was pizza. I didn't hear that word, if it was spoken. I did hear a reference to meatballs and sausage, and a couple of salads, and to get paper plates. I hope this is resolved in the final episode.

Especially without putting on a shirt if you're one of the dancers.

  5. I swear there was a priest in the crowd, right between all the topless dancers and the "civilians."

I don't think they can resolve very much in an hour. Sad.

    Outstanding episode.

I thought the trains were analogous to Tony's life. Started smoothly only to end up a wreck; after whacking Chrissy, Tony screamed that "He got it" and was on top of the world. Now, he's holed up in a dumpy house with six guys while his wife and kids are staying with his newly-widowed sister and two of his guys are dead and dying.

Chrissy did prick his finger when he was made; Philly was just looking for things to bitch about.

    Do NOT expect resolution.

That's like waiting for the Russian to come back. It just ain't gonna happen.

The Russian comes back and whacks Phil and his family. As a former interior decorator in Czechoslovakia, he learned how to do that kind of thing.

they did order pizza because one of them said something about not getting vegetarian pizza.

Can we PLEASE have a moment of silence for the passing of Silvio Dante, AKA: Sil, Little Stevie, Miami Steve. Probably one of the most likeable characters not only in The Sopranos, but in the history of TV/movie mob flicks & shows.

We could, but he isn't dead yet.
