Forgot about The Wire. Definitely in my top 10. Not sure it cracks the top 5.

Louie is the best written and best directed show ever alongside Horace and Pete's (even if that show ran just one season). CK was so locked in a zone of zones those 6 years. His ability to conceive, write, direct, and execute those shows back to back was like Tatis hitting 2 grand slams in one inning.

The Wire is in the starting 5 too.

The Killing season 3, like The Godfather 3, did not happen. First two seasons were great.

But, @Fred siegle, have you not seen Breaking Bad?

Another one I missed. I’ve been a bad (as in not good at it) tv viewer for the last 10 years or so.

I feel the same way about The Sinner. First two seasons great, third one complete junk.

Only a couple of more days — very excited.

Been rewatching a few episodes. Have to say, I still don’t get the love for Pine Barrens.

The few reviews I’ve seen haven’t been great.

I don’t either. There are a couple of great moments (mainly Junior’s expression when Bobby walks into the kitchen in his hunting gear) but people rave about it like it’s a masterpiece and it’s not.

I think it's a great, bottle-ish episode. You can watch that one, and immediately get a feel for the savagery of the Soprano crew, but also, how awful they are at their jobs at times, as well as the dynamics at play between Tony, Chris, Paulie and Bobby. It also has a somewhat ambiguous ending, since the fate of the Russian is unknown.

I think that the transactional and constantly fraught Chrissy/Paulie relationship was always a solid place for the show. But while it is a decent hour, it’s easily not in my top 15.
