    Better question: Who hits leadoff?

    DeRosa?

    Izturis? *gag*

I saw another report that said this is five year, 90 million deal with three option years at the end.

Soriano is now certain to set a major league record for home runs hit in simulated games.

I keed, I keed, Cubs fans.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Soriano will play center field and bat leadoff.

I know you don't want to hear/read this, but of all the tortured fans on this board, nothing keeps me reading like you and the Cubs. :D :D :D

I consider myself a Nats fan, but don't get to watch many games at all. It was my impression that he led the league in assists because he had just enough athletic ability to overcome how bad he was defensively. He would make terrible breaks on the ball but be able to run them down, doubling off guys who saw him get burned initially. I'd be terrified to let him play center field for me, especially in a windy place like Wrigley.

Somebody else mentioned they thought he'd get along poorly with Pinella. I doubt that. All he really wants to do is be in one place, and I'd be willing to bet he gets a no-trade clause. He made his training camp protest in Washington and caused a bit of a stink, but after that he was great in the locker room from everything I read.

Man... I went from a situation where my having Soriano on trade deadline day was going to sink my NL team... to him looking like an even bigger offensive for for 2007.

Wouldn't this money have been better spent on a pitcher or three?

    I don't think they're done spending.

I hear Michael Vick is looking into baseball.

I couldn't think of a better intersports match than Michael Vick and the Cubs.
