Source: Oklahoma City team name to be Thunder

I wish it was the Oklahoma Tornadoes with a logo of a mobile home getting ripped to pieces.

 

Every Oklahoma State alum or student would have fought that.

I bet T. Boone Pickens had already taken some of his recent oil profits and bought his way to assuring that would not happen.

 

If those were my kids, I'd sell them to Gypsies.

As I told someone else, I saw that clip on one of my buddy's message boards. He set it up like one of those fake Successories posters with the tagline:
WHITE KIDS
What the fuck are they on?

 

They could have gone the Premiership route and named the team Oklahoma City City.

Wouldn't have been nearly as lame.

 

Personally, I would have liked to see something with double Xs or Zs. That way, you know they're serious.

 

They never should have ditched the old one.

 

That would make them like every other sports team in the US (and probably abroad).

Considering the state, I imagine they'll use "The Thunder Rolls" by native son Garth Brooks.

 

I was hoping for the OKC Red-Staters.

Actually, Red might offend those in Stillwater.

How about the OKC Bible Belts? The Flyover States?
