    It would be almost worth having this team heisted from Seattle if they settle on the nickname "Wind." It would be the single dumbest nickname in the history of sport and the kindling for all sorts of headlines about how the team blows.

    Well, I suppose there is the World Tennis team the Philadelphia Freedoms (plural?), but "Wind" is awesomely bad. Then again, the "Marshalls" spelled incorrectly would also rule.

    I'm surprised nobody has mentioned that there is a minor league hockey team about 2.5 hours up the road in Wichita called the Thunder.
