Good point, u should never run from a cop though...

Well, I think the idea is that he was running from being tazed. But yes, not a good idea to run from a cop. He has been arrested 10 times, mostly for not paying child support and failing to appear in court. And once for assault and battery in 1987. Hardly a dangerous criminal.

That cop is going to regret this his whole life, nobody is perfect but we do have to face the consequenses of the choices we make.

I hope every cop out there learn their lesson from this case, you can just shoot people... you cant.

This cop was in danger of nothing except losing a footrace to an overweight Black man. He has no defense except to throw himself on the mercy of the court. And hopefully, the court won't give him any mercy.

    Yes. Do you question that?

I mean, cops shooting unarmed black folks it isn't exactly a new phenomenon. It's even been caught on video more than once recently.

OK. And in each prior instance, half the country rallied around the badge.

Dick, do you think this is much of a wakeup call? The next time an unarmed black man is shot and the officer says "he was coming at me" and there's no video, how do you think that's going to go?

Yeah, I'm not sure why this specific case would inspire more action than, say, the shooting of 12-year-old Tamir Rice, which was also caught on video.

    There's no rallying around murder.

Rice had a toy gun. Whether the cop had heard the 911 caller's "probably fake" description is the source of dispute, and to me the cop jumping out of the car shooting makes that irrelevant anyway, but cops are very sensitive about the idea of dismissing "toy guns" as something they should recognize immediately and not be worried about. And in defense of police in general, a toy gun is often designed and marketed as looking just like the real thing.

I totally understand that, but for shock factor, I'm saying a pre-teen should probably take the cake.
