Do a quick Google. I think you might be surprised what a gray area the Tamir Rice case is.

Cops release dash-cam video of the traffic stop that started it all. More than halfway through, when the cop has gone back to his squad car to check out something, soon-to-be-dead Walter Scott gets out of his car and starts huffing and puffing away. Pretty much you can tell the last ill-thought-out action in the decades' long sequence of poor life choices that has led up to this moment.

You're surprised what you can find on the Internet? Who are you, Baron?

    Who didn't know this?

The problem was, people tried to make this point using with incidents that didn't actually back up the point, and so they created false narratives instead.

That kind of thing should be as insulting, and infuriating, as the Rolling Stone article.

In cases like this one, and the one in Cleveland, the cops (rightly) have almost no support.

I'd even say that the case in St. Louis, where the cops blew away the mentally ill dude right after Feguson blew up, should have been a bigger deal. (Have we even learned the names of the cops involved in that shooting yet?)

Bad cops ARE a problem. (To steal a stylistic move from MC.) We need to identify, and fire the bad ones, and the ones with psychological issues. (And the one on Cleveland should have never been hired after being fired from his previous department.)

But, there were folks willing to put a good cop -- or at least one who hasn't been shown to be bad -- away for life to make a point. That's as bad as making baseless accusations against members of a fraternity just to prove a "broader point".

    Ha, good point.

It sounded like The Shark didn't think much of that was out there. But it's actually a relatively mainstream position that Rice was at fault.

I will be the ugly dude that will say it.

I lived in SC for about 8 years... that being said, do I think race have something to do with it? sadly I do believe so, there is still some type of "hate" going on but it is getting better...

Racism is something that we will have to deal with for a few more decades, but I do believe we are moving into the right direction with this issue, it is a touchy subject. I'm neutral, I am mixed with 2 races.

Lets get this clear, my grandpa was a tall blond green eyed Salvadorian.

A proof in SC is that Lattimore was "accepted" into ATO... hey, thats a good sign, you have to start somewhere.

I think I do ok in English.

A veces la ignorancia de algunos Norte-Americanos deja mucho que desear, sobre todo porque supuestamente son del "primer" mundo, la educacion segun ellos es muy buena en este pais, segun ellos...
