South Park crosses the line....

Could have been worse - they could have made a Cory Lidle joke.

 

It's going to be a really lame outfit that half the people at the party you go to will either be wearing or have considered. Way too many people I know have discussed something similar, and that's before South Park gave even more the idea.

 

That WOULD have been crossing the line if the accompanying theme music had not been so uplifting and noble.

Christopher Reeve rips the heads off fetuses and drinks their blood.
Cartman kills a kid's parents, grinds them up, puts them in some chilli and feeds them to the kid.
A statue of the virgin Mary shoots blood out of its ass.
The entire Catholic clergy is having sex with young boys, priests keeping naked boys on leashes and the Catholic clergy worships a giant spider.
Cartman pretends to be retarded to win the special Olympics.
Satan worshipping forest creatures try to bring forth the anit-Christ.
An elementasry school teacher puts a gerbil up a man's ass while the class watches.
A kindergarten teacher has a sexual relationship with one of her students.
A young Jewish kid gets a plastic surgery to become black because he wants to play basketball.

Those are just off the top of my head.
But the Steve Irwin thing was over the line.

Shot, I loved the stem-cell ep..that was also the Crips and Bloods...freaking hilarious!

 

I love South Park, but it has stunned me that there isn't more of an outcry more often by the group that is the target of the writers' jokes.

The Scientology and the Mormon episodes come to mind. Both were hilarious, but no outcry.

Heck, the episode before this one had a teacher having sex with a kindergarten kid!
