I recall those previous threads. Sad to think about how many people had to deal with such horrible mismanagement.

Here's hoping this shop makes the right call and brings in a quality hire with a solid background.

 

All the talented journalists out of work, i'm willing to bet they still go with whoever's cheapest.

so what makes this such a bad job as has been implied by many?

 

Management doesn't care about sports (the SE slot was being filled by the entertainment editor) and the sports department is extremely understaffed and has an insane amount of stuff to cover with three reporters and the SE.
