    I have virtually sworn off applying for any job in California. Having grown up there, I know how expensive it is and with four kids, even WITH my wife working, we could not afford to live in CA working in this industry.

    Palmdale/Lancaster ... a dusty desert outpost, much the same as Victorville, Hesperia etc.
