    You're not rich. But you're in a good position. You live comfortably. You don't waste any income on children. You have plenty enough money to own property.

    Yet at the same time, you sound like the kind of guy who never buys a round.

    Kind of a high-horse turn in this job thread. People make priorities (and make kids, for that matter), but lording your choices over someone else's, whether it's paying for moving expenses or dismissing people wo rent, is not too mature.

    I hope this works out for everyone involved. If it doesn't, more than the SE loses his job over a hire like this. The guy who made the call would follow him out the door, too.
    Gannett would simply look at that as an excuse to swing 1 ax and kill 2 salaries.
