No. They killed it. As in killed the position and won’t fill it, based on what I’ve been told.

 

That's a real bummer. I noticed they've been using freelancers to cover high schools and Mercer, which is fine, but that area would be better served with a full-time staffer.

 

So this is just a one-man sports department now?

 

Seems that way. From the looks of their website, they have a guy covering UGA and then just use stringers for everything else.
