    What I’m curious:

Will the lines on Ole Miss, State, Bama and Memphis be goosed to balance out the books?

If Ole Miss is -5 against Vanderbilt in Las Vegas, will it be -7.5 in Tunica?

If there's anything the people of the deep south need, it's the opportunity to lose more money gambling. .... Then again: Maybe I-20 through Mississippi finally stops sucking because of this.

Let's not get too crazy here.

And I'm offended @playthrough left off the majestic Harlow's Casino Resort & Spa, located at the foot of the Lake Village bridge.

I don't think there's any doubt about it. As this continues to spread (no pun intended) there will be disparities all over that the bookies will have to offset. Sharp bettors will be looking for mules all over.

True, but you could say that about a lot of areas at this point. At least sports betting offers a lot more hope than penny slots. I like what the mayor of Tunica (or some such) said the other day -- imagine having an amusement park where you opened no new rides in 20 years. That's been their casinos, until now.

They are MGM companies. They will have one line almost certainly.

Maybe, but they're not going to want lopsided action every week and I can see where the markets might create some huge disparities.

If the money from Tunica is co-mingled with money from Vegas and every other MGM property, how will there be lopsided action?

I'm just spitballing, but if a mountain of money comes in on Ole Miss in a game in Tunica, would be there be enough interest nationwide on the other side to balance things out, even with line adjustments? But by the end of a season, I'm sure it all evens out anyway.

I'd be curious to read more about the English soccer, where there are kiosks in the stadiums. Do all the home fans pound their team, and what does that do to the markets?

I do wonder, especially for low-interest games like an MSU-Kentucky game, whether the action will follow. Can’t imagine many people in Vegas betting that but I could see it in Mississippi.

If the sharps and quants in Vegas see a good number, they'll get on it enough to move the line closer to the right price.

But even if they don't, it's possible that mountain of Ole Miss money winds up in the hands of the casino as the fanbois bet with their hearts instead of heads.

Which is why I want to play the other way.
