    I do wonder what the proposed model is. If it stays twice a month, you'll need good feature writers. I don't doubt there are plenty of displaced sportswriters who can do a credible job - but I don't see SI covering any more Olympics - a lot more stories that are closer to the advertorial stuff that SI runs.

    Seems like the kind of "tech-guy" who mumbles a bunch jargon to corporate types who don't understand the internet and leaves with a six-figure contract and a fancy title. 18 months later, he does it again. How Gannett didn't land on this guy's resume I'll never know.

    Especially depressing because most of these hires were the ones who replaced the "old guard" when they were laid off.
