Well, I don't anymore. Can't stand to listen to him. But I do think there's more to a sports talk show than just spouting your personal opinions. Tony K's show is entertainment. He tells stories. And Cowherd, though he might be a douchebag, at least has a sense of humor.

I never can get past the irritating-sounding voice. He's good on hockey, but all he does is complain about the league office.

Ralph Barbieri of KNBR is annoying. Voice is raspy, the Giants can do no wrong and he is huge time eater. He'll spend three minutes running down Kareem Abdul Jabbar's biography before introducing him, they'll talk for 2 minutes and it will be time for a pm drive-time traffic update. I don't care what the format is, there are some talk show hosts who sound like they are just killing time, talking about what they did over the weekend and it bothers me.

Actually it also sounds a lot like Todd Wright, who got canned by ESPN last year. He's resurfaced on Sporting News Radio. And I still don't care about his stadia visits or his golf game.

I think one of the worst newer types is this Andrew Siciliano, who is a poor imitation of Jim Rome and lord knows the last thing we need in sports radio is another young smart ass who thinks he has to show "attitude" by making bold -- and usually asinine -- declarations.

Joe McDonnell has been a sports radio fixture in Los Angeles. He's on the Lakers' flagship station now doing weeknights. He's opinionated and will rip his teams (Lakers, Dodgers, UCLA) when they need it. One of his best segments is "Who do you want to kick out of L.A.?"

how many years has the segment been running and has anyone ever said the same name twice?

Big Joe is pretty damn good. Knows his shite, forward, backward and sideways.

I'm in the minority that I can tolerate Cowherd -- except when he goes off on his voices, fellating of everything football and slamming of hockey because of its miniscule ratings. Someone needs to tell him that TV ratings aren't the alpha and omega of what makes a sport.

Used to listen to Rome all the time. The rampant ego and my daytime hours put an end to it, although as an interviewer, he's really, really good.

LOVED Todd Wright. ESPN made a colossal mistake blowing him out and I don't get his station anymore. Used to listen to him driving home late nights.

I've actually given up on Bruno in favor of the new Dennis Miller show. A shame for me since I've listened to him for years and actually interviewed him once for a school paper I was working on. I think the move to SoCal has mellowed him. He was much more entertaining when he was a venerable Philly hardass.
