When did they get an Olive Garden? That is sooooooooooooooooooo not fair. All the good stuff always comes after I leave a town, dammit!

When I was younger, we used to go to Terre Haute and hang out at the mall. Apparently this was before liability concerns, so we could fight on the playground equipment, etc. Since Ashtard Larry wasn't there, no one got killed.

Then we went across the street to the DQ for cheese dogs.

Don't remember the stench, though. Maybe that came later.

I LOVE that we've jacked this into a Haute thread.

I'm really surprised you didn't smell the stench down by the mall. That seems to be the general area were it orginates from, or at least it did when I was there.

Maybe the mall's moved since you were a kid though . . .

It may have because I went to the mall a few years ago, and nothing looked familiar.

And there was definitely a stench.

I going to address the Terre Haute "stench" once and only once.

The stench comes from a paper mill which sits right on I-70, not far from Sportschick's mall. It's a most unfortunate place for the stench as anyone driving past Terre Haute on I-70 smells it and thinks Terre Haute perpetually smells like ass. In fact, you can only smell it within maybe a mile radius, and is not evident in the city itself.

I've spent some time in Terre Haute, it's not as nearly as bad as its reputation suggests, and its certainly not measurably worse than Muncie, where I went to college.

This is a cheap shot Bubbler, but here goes... Since when has there been a college in Muncie?

When did the Olive Garden become good?

    Olive Garden > Spaghetti Warehouse.

    To each his own.
