Thanks, Peaches! (Has nobody heard of the legendary Peaches Patterson?) ... hehehe, I just had too!

But you're still off the team. ;D

If I wasn't in charge of my own ship elsewhere, I would jump at the chance to work for Drew.

Why does everybody talk about covering preps like it's a bad thing? If you work at a paper that does it right, you get all the fun of writing excellent stories sans the giant egos and attitudes.

and once you cover them for awhile, the attitude simply shifts to HS coaches and players.

And let's not forget the attitudes of some of the parents ... TP did you have to work on Thanksgiving? I did.

tarheel, i'm almost ashamed to admit that i've been home since 3 p.m. on wednesday.

ma petty, mrs. petty, the heartbreakers and myself built a natural fence today alongside one side of the driveway after dinner with stump butts and perfect-sized pieces of logs that had the right amount of moss on them. we'll tramp through the woods, collect some log pieces and then finish the "fence" on saturday. i must admit i'm looking forward to it.

Glad everyone had a good Thanksgiving, but let's stick to the topic at hand here. Thanks.
