Glad to see that my posting revived this thread, and I hope it scares talented folk away from going there.

Nah, I think I gotta pass. I have a better job offer looming as a fish gutter.

"Knife goes in, guts come out, that's what Osaka Fish is all about." (Bonus points if you know where that line is from).

Should I tell you the secret to happiness and enlightenment?

I want to say I heard they never filled the SE position, but hired the guy who was the Martinsville Mustangs (Coastal Plain League baseball) radio guy. He took a position at the Bulletin, but I heard he wasn't really going to stay but just a few months. That would be my guess as to why they have another ad out.

I heard that guy once. Ginny actually put him in charge?

That surprises me, and yet given this paper's growing reputation as a wasteland, I know it shouldn't.

dude, after sending them covers, clips and resumes the past three openings, they finally sent me an e-mail informing me that they'd keep my "package" on file.

TP, I had the "pleasure" of interviewing there four years ago. It's an experience unlike any other.

You went voluntarily? The "pleasure" didn't scar you for life? :)
