We saw him in DC - he did a solo side show just before the last Blue Collar special - and he was a riot. Talked about the flock of Scottie dogs he had as years of thanks from the scotch makers... unfunny here, but a side-splitter in person.

I hear bits and pieces of Tim Wilson, and he seems pretty damn funny to me - or maybe it was just that bit about drunk-skiing the double-black diamond that was funny.

I'd also go with Rock, Attell and Black, and a special mention to Richard Lewis, who I find hilarious. I don't always understand his perspective, but the randomness of the one-liners is great.

Although I'm convinced they're sometimes plants for the headliners to insult for a few more laughs, the track in which Oswalt flames on the heckler is outstanding.

I really like Kathy Griffin's stand up.

    Also like...

    Madigan
Vinny Favorino (sp?) ... as I was leaving Vegas, I saw that he's the house act at O'Shea's ... if I would have known, I would have gone.
    Nick DiPaulo
    Jeff Ross
Kevin James was pretty good when we saw him. For whatever reason, out of nowhere he said, "How good is food?" and I lost it.

Daniel Tosh is great, too. He's a lot like Dane Cook, except he's funny.

Haven't seen him mentioned, but I am a huge fan of Brian Regan. Saw him do a 90-minute set without swearing once (not that I mind cursing, but I respect those who can get a laugh without the F-bomb), and I thought I was going to throw up from laughing too hard several times. He was awesome.

Also like Kathleen Madigan (who has been mentioned), as well as Chris Rock, Kevin James and Jim Gaffigan. From Last Comic, I loved Alonzo Bowdain's bit about men holding women's purses. As a married man, it hit so close to home.

Why lump the Blue Collar guys together? I love Ron White, but I can't stand Larry the Cable Guy.

Nick Swardson is really funny up-and-comer. Patton Oswalt is pretty damn good, as is David Cross.

Maybe everyone can join in on that with their thoughts. Yes, I respect comics like that you can kill without swearing. But sometimes, a well-placed "fuck" really ads to the pacing and overall humor.

I would rather have my eyes gouged out with a rusty corkscrew than listen to David Cross do stand-up. That being said, he was hilarious on Arrested Development.
