    The Omni opened in 1972 and Springsteen signed with Columbia Records that same year, and the first Wednesday, April 11 after that was 1973.

    I pointed out before that the Stones were in The Tami Show at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in 1964. If you've forgotten, check out the lineup:

    T.A.M.I. Show's executive producer was Bill Sargent. Sargent held patents in cable television and is considered the father of modern pay-per-view. He was the developer of Electronovision and its associated videotape technologies.

    James Brown was pissed that he wasn't the headliner for that show. He said he worked harder in that show than in any other in his career, and as the Stones stood watching in the wings, they had no desire to follow Brown.
