    I've tried Smart Start. I like Smart Start. But I can't justify giving it a higher seed. Seeds were determined on a mixture of popularity and longevity (thus, Corn Flakes as a No. 1). Trust me, most of this sugary shit would be relegated to the NIT if I was seeding based on my preferences.

    There was actual discussion about what to do regarding oatmeal, but it was determined to be "oatmeal" and not actual "cereal". If we did a breakfast foods bracket, it would get a top seed. Plus, plain oatmeal is very different from brown sugar is very different from fruit.

    Also, a word about Kashi: while today it comes in many varieties, most of which I enjoy eating, Kashi was originally the name of a specific food and considered to be among the ranks of muselix (i.e. devoid of taste and only something crazy people ate on a regular basis). Therefore, we went with the generic designation to avoid variety confusion.

    And 2MCM, if I had PMS, this would be the ice cream bracket.
