Starting my own sports site

    do it pilot. there isn't enough sports commentary and analysis - we need much more. do it with a song in your heart.

    Come on. Stay with the conversation. I don't want to start my own sports site. I do, however, want to start my own dog track. I live in an apartment, but I think my bosses might be cool with it in our parking lot. I was thinking we could run horses once a month, too.

    Bills90, no offence, but nobody gives a crap what an inexperienced newbie has to say. These sites are a dime a dozen. You'd be writing for yourself, and basically banging your head against a wall.
    OK, gotta go, my nuclear reactor is overheating in the basement.

    This sounds like someone who thinks they deserve to be thrust into a glamour pro or college beat, instead of working their way up.

    A good majority of this board started on the high school beat (and it's not THAT glamourous in the US either). Cover the high schools, work hard and work your way up.
