Still think Texas has never executed anyone who was innocent?

    Hell, make it the whole jury. The foreman doesn't really have that much control anyway. At least I didn't the one time I was a jury foreman.

    Except some people don't believe in God so we rely on secular justice.

    Always nice to see Americans who believe in capital punishment aligning themselves with the likes of China and Saudi Arabia on this issue.

    There's also this little matter of, "If he's innocent until proven guilty, why has he spent the nine months leading up to this trial locked up?"

    So he was punished by letting a murderer go free. Got it.

    Seems like some of the posts on this thread are about getting revenge and have nothing to do with getting justice. I'm not comfortable with the government exacting revenge.

    You appear to be correct. It's that Texas mindset . . . which, as we all know, has served the nation so very well over the years . . .

    ::) ??? ::)

    After seven or so pages of this I can conclude, without a doubt, that some posters on this mofo were seriously born out of an asshole...

    That is all...

    Maybe it's the killer's wife or son or daughter --- who didn't do anything wrong --- who are being "allowed" to see their husband or dad?

    Ever think of it that way?

    Or should every person who ever had anything to do with the killer be punished . . . just because "well, the victim's family can't have a conjugal visit, so the killer's family shouldn't, either."
