Still think Texas has never executed anyone who was innocent?

It's espresso, people. Espresso. When will they ever learn?

You don't have to be God to see this one. You barely have to be cognitively competent.

I haven't argued against that. (Well, I'm not 100% sold he didn't do it, but I'm not saying he deserved the death penalty if he didn't.)

But, he probably shouldn't have been out on the streets. He was a career criminal, and people get so fed up with the revolving door, that they see this as an end to that.

He's just not going to get a lot of people upset about this. That's all I'm saying. He's not a terribly sympathetic poster child.

Do you believe a battered wife should be able to kill her abuser?

Haven't been downrange (yet), but I'll be going in the next couple of years. I've seen what being over there does and it's not pretty, either physically or mentally. For some yahoo (and that's a nice, diplomatic word that I'll use) to sit here and use an analogy that compares human lives to freakin' eggs to make an omelette chafes my hide, almost as much as him saying that I'm advocating the execution of innocent people.

Oh, wow. I'm a bored coffee machine repairman? How about you, at whatever age you are, come do what I've done and tell me that. How freakin' dare you?!? There are plenty of soldiers I've worked with and for who've put their lives on the line (and even given their lives) so that you can think you're better than me. Guess what? You're not and you need yto take the attitude you have somewhere else where it might be appreciated. Because right here and right now, it's not.

Eh, it's coffee too -- though I do have to go fix an espresso machine in a minute.

But I won't argue over the term. That would be like some highfalutin bartender demanding to be called a mixologist. Who would be so arrogant?

I'm the bored coffee machine repairman, not you. Literally. I am. I mean, I'm not bored, but I do fix coffee machines.

Well, now I'm insulted that you took being called a coffee machine repair man as an insult. What the fuck man? ;)

Easy there cowboy. People here have strong opinions and push words to their limit in order to make their point. Most no better than to take it personally.

I know they have strong opinions, but it doesn't make them any smarter for having them. Also, I try not to take it too seriously, but he struck a nerve.
