Did someone post this link yet? I see some of the info is on here about his posse guarding the door, but I didn't see a link.

Guarding the door might be thought of as kidnapping - bad for Ben.

A friend thought the accuser was drunk - good for Ben.

If her friends thought she was drunk, proving Ben did anything to her is going to be very difficult. I have a feeling the bar owner is going to get in more trouble than anyone for screwing up this video tape.

In what way is taking advantage of a drunken 20-year-old girl "good for Ben"?

Everybody's All-American strongarms a blow job from a sorority drunk then bounces her head off the sink?

    He's a fucking hero.

If you're Ben going to a college bar at 28? Creepy. You mean to tell me you didn't have the money to arrange a limo, private plane to take you to Atlanta, Miami, wherever to celebrate your birthday/

Taking a drunk girl into a bathroom goes beyond creepy, but maybe not criminal. But again, you're Big Ben, you can't take any number of said girls back to your pad, where you don't need a member of your posse guarding the door?

Maybe not criminal, but the whole incident just shows very poor judgement.

Where was the allegation he strongarmed anything from anybody?

Perhaps she was willing. Perhaps her friend, however, thought the alleged victim was too drunk to making that sort of decision and that's why she was trying to stop the two of them from being alone.

Since the accusation was "sexual assault," I leave all possibilities open.

Put me in the camp of failing to see how her being drunk would be "good for Ben."

If true, in his best case scenario, it could be seen as taking advantage of a young woman when she was in a vulnerable state.

God, where have all the gentlemen gone?

Please, this type of behaviour has been going on for eons.

I'll rephrase, then. Why aren't more men gentlemen?

    Good for his case.

    Sorry for the confusion.

Sure it has, but that doesn't mean there aren't gentlemen somewhere. The ratio of gentlemen to droolers and mouth breathers like Roethlisberger has remained constant.

Same reason more women aren't ladies.
