I've heard of the Iglesias (sp) kid. Can't think of his first name. He was an OK college receiver from what I remember. Nowhere near great. Neither was Kelly. (And that hasn't changed in the NFL, either.)

I just remember his line, his receivers, his running backs and his tight end having some serious skill. Fifty TDs just does not fall out of the sky, and if it was all Bradford, then someone is getting a hell of a QB.

I like Bradford's accuracy and how he handles himself, but I love Clausen's arm. I just don't like the other things as much.

By that last part, do you mean just that he has been on very good teams? I ask because it's not like you can call him a system quarterback because Roethlisberger has had success with different approaches -- first in a run-oriented offense and more recently with a focus on the pass.

They would have to get a ridiculous value for him, but I don't think Roethlisberger is untouchable any more.

Agree with you on Clausen's arm. He throws a very pretty deep ball. I'm just worried that he doesn't go over the middle well.

From what I saw, Clausen has a cannon and can throw any pass a team asks of him.

Never draft a guy just because of his arm.

Might these clowns want to tone down their rhetoric a bit? An immediate pronouncement of guilt sounds like an invitation to litigation, doesn't it?

  9. Yea, but this guy could throw it 50 yards from his knees.

Of course, that would mean he was down and the play was dead, so I guess that isn't a very good test. :)

What would you win in a settlement? The couch where the blogger named DWIL sleeps in his parents' basement?

He's definitely got the arm to make the throws. I just worry about the fact that the coaches at ND didn't often ask him to throw between the hashes (he's got a cannon, so throws along the sidelines do make sense, he can get the ball out there in a hurry). So, I'm not sure he can read defenses in the middle of the field that well. That's my big concern with him.
