    I don't know.

    Like I said several pages back, I would put the best private investigators in the country on all 4 of these alleged incidents, plus anything else they could find, read their reports, and make my decision based on that.

    It was pointed out by Ignatius that they're probably already doing that.

    But I would also have him looked at by a neurologist in light of the helmetless riding and the concussions, a psychiatrist, and enroll him in the substance abuse program.

    The NFL is not a court of law, nor is it a democracy. It can gather its own evidence and hand out its own punishment as it sees fit, working of course with the PA.

  2. Yeah, I think that's the right answer.

    Don't forget - the Black Sox were acquitted in a court of law.

    I haven't gone through all the pages or read the entire police report. Still, I'm surprised more hasn't been made (here and in other stories about this) of Roethlisberger purchasing shots and other alcoholic beverages for underage women. The person who reported this was 20, correct? I wonder how old all her friends were. Again, this certainly pales in comparison to sexual assault, yet I think it is an important factor.

    Steelers should sign OJ.

  5. Or because it is not a court of law, nor a democracy, the NFL could - and should - just suspend the guy based the shit that's is already out there.

    It's a very small part of the pot, but this must be killing the Steelers when it comes to team merchandise. Jerseys that were best sellers just a few months ago are now dead inventory.

    Apparently around town, Roethlisberger and Holmes jerseys are being discounted up to 50 percent. Hell, I don't know if you could give away a No. 7 jersey at the moment.

    You didn't read the thread, but are surprised more wasn't made of it here? How so? It's been brought up and discussed many times. The DA (or someone, can't remember) said they wouldn't prosecute because they'd have to prosecute her too and they weren't going to do that.

  9. They could, but I think they would investigate so they could justifiably suspend him longer than a game or two. If he raped somebody, and I'm the league, I'd want to know that instead of just giving him a slap on the wrist for general boorish behavior.

    Is Polamalu spelled wrong on the jersey also?

    No, I just misspelled it there. Spell-check didn't catch it.` ::)

    I can't see how spell-check would catch Polamalu.

    Just havin' a little fun, carry on.
