I get that. The game has changed but not for the better.

I don't know. The game was dirtier back then, but stepping on an opposing player intentionally wouldn't have been tolerated back then either.

More camera's and Hi Def has also changed the landscape. Probably would not have been noticed back then.

TRENTON – Gov. Chris Christie's awkward hug of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones in Dallas Sunday nightcame at some expense to New Jersey taxpayers, at least for the cost of Christie's security detail going on the road.

But how much does it cost when the governor makes his frequent trips outside the Garden State? Unfortunately for government watchdogs, it takes months before any billable flight, hotel or other expense by the Christie party becomes public.

Don't want to turn this into political thread but what an embarrassing display by the gov.
It's a Michael Dukakas moment for Christie. The thud you heard was Christie falling off
the national stage as serious candidate for 2016

If a fat turd falls off the national stage as a "serious" presidential candidate, does it take more than a year to hear the "thud"?

He's been done for a while, Boom. Not a new development, and not related at all to awkward bro-hugs.

When he was running for governor the first time did it ever come out that he was a die hard Cowboys fan? I could see that being a deal breaker in NJ.

Crissakes, it's a wild-card playoff win. You're the Dallas Cowboys, not the Cleveland Browns. Act like you've been there before.
