Why do coaches call tricky plays when a simple run with push off the line will do? McDaniels is the same way.

 

You can't make a bigger mistake in the first half of a game than Brady made with that pick. And you can't do things like that when you're facing the best postseason quarterback in the league.

 

I have noticed that most of Brady's poorer throws come when he tries to rocket one in there on a line drive.

 

The Ravens are the Patriots' post-season kryptonite.

Joe Flacco now has more postseason passing touchdowns than Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman, and Drew Brees.

 

Five games matter. Wildly inconsistent regular seasons pretty much every year do not. I guess Xan thinks Eli Manning is elite, too.

 

Flacco has been an Elie QB in the playoffs. That counts for something.

 

Damn trick plays.

 

I agree. Balance that with his inconsistency in the regular season and he is still a top 10 quarterback. If you want to call that elite, that's fine. Just agree to disagree.

 

Flacco and Eli are in their own class. A notch below the best overall, but at their best when it matters the most.

Having said that, I'm calling Flacco pick coming up.
