Going for 2 was ABSOLUTELY the right call. Just a bad playcall on that. Would have had to give up a TD AND have Cowboys make a 2 to be down 3. Not huge odds o that happening. Possible, but definitely worse odds than them making the 2 to make a TD tie instead of win. Easily the right call to go for it.

 

Pretty damn smart move by Adams to cut to the middle of the field instead of the sideline to make Dallas use a timeout.

 

Clearly I don't know shit about football because I can't figure out in what way that was not a catch.

It's a pretty simple rule -- you have to maintain possession all the way to the ground. He didn't. It always makes people mad, but it's clearly spelled out.

 

I guess I don't get why it wasn't a fumble instead of an incomplete pass. I thought he had possession/made a football move.

 

He was lunging for the goal line with the ball in his arms. He took three steps with the ball. Incorrect call.
