McCarthy's biggest mistake was having Brandon Bostick on the "hands" team.

I had to listen to that gagging while driving home. Awful. I feel for my diehard GB friends. They will be kicking themselves for years over this one.

Now, let's see Indy pull the upset over Darth Vader.

His biggest mistakes off the top pf my head:
Not being ready for the fake fg
    Not going for tds early
That horrible third and 19th call (probably caper's mistake)
Calling timeout with 19you seconds left before fg at end regulation (didn't matter but a fairly illogical decision)

That was a nice way to hit the over. If GB had stopped Sea on the 2pt conversion, the game goes under.

Sorry, GB fans, but that was entertaining as hell.

Pack should have put that one away in the first half, or numerous times in the second half. Instead ... well, it's a fun time to live in the Pacific Northwest!

And No. 86 is on the "hands" team for one reason — to block oncoming Seattle players so Nelson can catch the onside kick.

Massive fail. Enjoy selling used cars for a living, buddy.

The "hit the over" post made me laugh, BP23. Bravo.

I'm not even that ticked off as I wasn't expecting Green Bay to win, oh, until it was 19-7 with five minutes left and they had just gotten Wilson's fourth interception.

Even on Seattle's drive to make it 19-14, I thought Green Bay had "won" by holding off Seattle's score until 2:08 left instead of nearly 3:00 left when Lynch was initially ruled to have scored. Those two running plays by Seattle made it a MUST for them to recover the onside kick -- which they did.

Those plays that amraeder pointed out are definitely a part of it -- the 3rd and 19 (not exactly 4th and 26 of 2003 and Mike Sherman at Philly) and the fake FG.

Even with people saying the Packers should have shown more balls in the first half, I'll counter with this. They were up 19-7 with less than 2:30 left in the game and with Seattle down to ONE time out.

That's a situation where you should win 95% of the time.

Let's say Green Bay gets up 20-0 (not unreasonable) in the first half. They would have still probably gone into the same McCarthy Shell, just waiting for Wilson to, eventually, wake up and the Green Bay defense to get worn down, which they did.

My only silver lining is that the world now won't see Belichick de-pants McCarthy on the world's largest stage in two weeks.

Agree, ex, that the packers should have won in spite of mccarthy. But the coach's job is to make the choices that give his team the best odds to win and he failed in that area badly today.

Watching Green Bay-Seattle reminded this WAZZU alum of far too many inexplicable choking jobs I've watched over the years. In short, Green Bay Couged it.

Green Bay's defense on the two-point conversion was something you'd expect to see in a game played by 8-year-olds.

That was mostly 3+ hours of really bad football.

Was the onside kick hit into the ground, or was it popped up? I didn't see a replay to see if a fair catch was possible.
