Storming the court/rushing the field

    Probably just a weird old man tangent, as I can see the wisdom in this going away. But it strikes me that the momentum for a crackdown is here at the moment in time when college sports are just about to cross over into becoming fully professional.

    At the concert, 18,000 people were crushing to get into two doors (because the others didn't open simultaneously as planned).

    Court stormers aren't trying to squeeze into any limited entrance.

    Stuff can happen, because stuff can always happen when you have a mob of people with little oversight.

    But it's a pretty big difference.

    I'll give that. But searching out the inaccuracies in the statement is still, in a way, minimizing the danger of the current situation. Suffice it to say somebody is probably going to get hurt.
