Strange names

    The best was in my mother's kindergarten class...Ticonderoga. I don't know if she was named after the fort, the battle or the Aegis cruiser. Probably the latter.

    Bama, could have been named after a pencil too. If you have a No. 2 pencil near you, check to see what company label is on it. Probably a 50-50 chance it's a Ticonderoga.

    Heard a name last week at a christening at church that was a new one on me: Phayedra. First of four names - quite a mouthful.

    Also, Lemonjello (LEE-mon-juh-lo). Craving anything during that pregnancy, mom?

    In girls' varsity basketball: Aislynn, Breaunca, Caynan, Decarai, Deidrah, Deveona, D'Inara, Leikyn, Nawdya, Quortesha, Reauna, Terrionna, Twanessa, Razjay.
